Printable Thanksgiving Planner

Use this printable Thanksgiving planner to organize everything you need to host the perfect dinner with friends or family.

Whether you’re hosting your first Thanksgiving or are a Friendsgiving pro, this 9-page printable planner will help you organize everything you need for Turkey Day.

This planner is handy for:

I designed this Thanksgiving planner with the US holiday in mind because that’s what I celebrate with my family, but these pages should be helpful for Canadian Thanksgiving in October or other similar celebrations around the world.

Thanksgiving planner inserts

Planner cover

The first page of all of my planners is a themed cover. This one reads Thanksgiving Planner and has warm orange and yellow autumn illustrations. Use it for the first page if you’re printing all of these to make a mini planner. It’s also great as a divider if you’re printing all my planners to create a year-long holiday binder.

Monthly calendar

The monthly calendar is undated so you can print a new copy annually. Write the month at the top and fill in the date boxes. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November in the US and the second Monday in October in Canada.

If you don’t want to hand-write the numbers, grab my printable watercolor month name stickers and date stickers.

Thanksgiving meal plan

The Thanksgiving meal plan is similar to this printable, but of course, this one matches the rest of the pretty printables in this series. Plan what you need to make and where the recipe you use is located:

• appetizers
• main dish
• side dishes
• desserts
• drinks

There is also space to plan your cooking schedule. At Thanksgiving more than any other time, I always worry about juggling too many things going in the oven at different temperatures. This will help you plan backward so that everything is ready at the right time for dinner.

Thanksgiving shopping

The big budget for Thanksgiving is food and non-food groceries (like disposables, zip bags, and containers for guests to take home leftovers). You can also make a list of decor and anything else you need to buy, like little favors for the kids’ table.

Thanksgiving activities

Plan all the activities for dinner at your house or anything else you do this month. The sections include:

• events (Don’t miss the Macy’s parade!)

• activities
• places to go

Dinner guest list

This simple guest list page does a lot of work, so you don’t have to scroll through text messages to remember who has RSVPed and who hasn’t yet. Make a list with names, their responses, and a section for potluck items if you’re asking guests to bring things.

Thanksgiving prep checklist

Hosting Thanksgiving means you’re probably doing most of the work for the day ahead of time. Use this page to plan everything and check it off when done.

The sections are divided into 4 groups of 10 with categories for errands, decorating, cleaning, and other. You could use that last section to keep track of last-minute tasks, everything to prep a guest room, or projects you need to tackle before guests arrive.

Thanksgiving decorating

I usually decorate a few little spots around the house for most holidays and only go all-out for Halloween and Christmas. For Thanksgiving, that usually means simple fall decor in the bathroom, setting up a kids’ table, and decorating my kitchen and dining room.
