Turn on this Thanksgiving playlist for background music at a dinner party or to chill with cozy vibes all through the fall season.

If you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner for friends or family, it can be nice to have music playing for background noise. It creates a festive vibe and fills any quiet moments while you’re waiting for guests to arrive.
And if you and your friends like to talk about music and compare favorites, it’s a great conversation starter! A few years ago I put together a playlist entirely made of food puns (Meat Loaf, The Cranberries, etc.)
Music has always been an essential part of our holiday gatherings. When I was a kid, the local classic rock station played “Alice’s Restaurant” by Arlo Guthrie at the same time every Thanksgiving. My dad always turned it on, so for most of my childhood, I thought that was the official song of Thanksgiving.
Last year I made a playlist of cozy fall vibes. It’s perfect for Thanksgiving or really anytime this season. Most of the songs are slow, warm, and comforting. A few are about gratitude or friends and family.

You can listen to this playlist or save it to your Spotify account. I called it Fall Friends & Food. It’s right around 2 hours and in no particular order.

I also like to add playlists to my planner. It’s sort of a journal that shows how I was feeling or what the mood was at a certain time.
If you want to add a printable playlist to your planner or bullet journal, this watercolor playlist page is fun year-round.
