One Mama’s Daily Drama Privacy Policy
The privacy of my readers is important to me. Here is an explanation of the information that One Mama’s Daily Drama collects and uses, in simple but thorough language to comply with US and International regulations.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data that you provide in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Comments will be visible indefinitely, but you can send me an email and I’ll delete it if you decide you need to.
Contact forms
If a user fills out the contact form or otherwise sends me an email, the information you include in the email will be sent to me (Keri Houchin, the owner of One Mama’s Daily Drama). I don’t share it with anyone else and if the information is something I might need later (eg. you send me a great suggestion for a future post) I’ll save it on my computer.
Newsletter
If a user signs up for the newsletter or RSS feed, they are opting in to receive that information via email. This may also include subscriber freebies as noted on the sign-up form.
My email provider uses a tracking pixel to determine what percentage of emails are delivered and opened, and which links are clicked. Some links may trigger a “tag,” which will associate your email address with a specific interest. For example, users who purchase a product are tagged as having purchased that product. This helps me know what content is popular so I can make more of it.
Subscribers can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email.
Analytics
One Mama’s Daily Drama uses Google Analytics to track and organize anonymous data. This helps me see which posts are popular and what keywords people are searching for. It also keeps track of info that sponsors might ask for, like that most of my readers are women and the biggest age group is 35-44.
Log files merely log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Advertising
One Mama’s Daily Drama also uses third-party advertisements, sponsored posts, and affiliate links. I like being able to provide most of my content for free and advertising helps me support my family through this business. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on my site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for showing you relevant ads you might really be interested in.
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with my site as well as other websites. Without cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
