Making your own stickers is easier than you might think! All you need is a pretty printable and some sticker paper. Print the designs at home and cut them out with scissors or a paper trimmer.

For these month name stickers, I used Astrobrights matte white sticker paper but I also like Avery products. The Astrobrights paper is really thick, so whatever you stick it to won’t show through.

To make these stickers I just printed my design, cut each one out with scissors, and peeled the back off to stick them in my planner.

If you haven’t printed your own stickers before, I do recommend doing a test print on plain computer paper to make sure everything looks right and you know which side of the sticker paper should face up.

The best thing about these watercolor month names is that you just print one page and cut each one out, then you have a whole year’s worth of sticker headings ready to use!

Ways to use month name stickers

You can use these printable month name stickers in tons of ways! Here are a few ideas to get you started.

  • Planner dividers – Stick these to your dividers to decorate each month or as a heading for month at a glance pages.
  • Monthly pages – Of course, these are perfect for labeling the monthly calendar spreads in your planner!
  • Calendar – Each month name is approximately 7 inches wide, so it will fit many types of wall calendars.
  • Journal stickers – Stick one on a page in your journal and write about that month around it.
  • Bullet journal stickers – Use these for monthly dividers, headings, or bucket lists in your bullet journal!

If you’re looking for more matching watercolor planner printables, these match the color scheme in my year at a glance calendar and coordinate with other rainbow planner pages.

Watercolor sticker designs

These planner stickers include the 12 months of the year – January through December.

The background of each sticker is an abstract watercolor shape, hand-painted by me using my iPad and Apple Pencil. The colors are a bold and cheerful rainbow.
