10+ Summer Printables for Kids

Summer printables are great fun for kids when school is out. Download these activities, coloring pages, and crafts to beat summer boredom.

Everybody loves printables for kids! They’re some of the most popular blog posts on One Mama’s Daily Drama, so I thought it would be fun to put together all the summer ones in one post.

This list includes coloring pages, puzzles, activity sheets, and writing and journal pages. There’s something for all ages here, from little kids up to teens. And I think that printables are a fun way to have little kids and big kids work on something together.

Summer family bucket list

Start off the summer by writing out a summer family bucket list! This cute printable page will inspire you to plan plenty of fun activities and check them off as you go. In addition to the printable, this post has some fun ideas for things to do.

Kids activity list

If you need some easy ideas to add to your bucket list, find 84 kids’ activities of all kinds. This printable list includes simple no-prep activities, classic childhood fun that kids can do on their own, and a few trips you can take around town together.

Printable summer contact cards

Don’t forget to plan some fun with friends this summer. Hand out summer contact cards at summer camp, sports practice, and other group activities. Be sure to include the best way for friends to contact you or your child (these cards have blank lines).

Printable summer vacation journal

Whether your family is taking a trip out of town or having a staycation, make sure to take plenty of photos. Download this mini summer vacation journal to make a cute booklet of your adventures. It includes a few writing prompts for inspiration. There are also blank places to write and draw or paste photos.

Printable summer postcard for kids

Did you know that you can make and print your own postcards? This simple summer postcard includes a friendly and colorful sun and “Happy Summer” on the front. Add your personal message, the address, and a return address. Don’t forget a postcard stamp before dropping this in the mailbox.

Nature scavenger hunts

A nature scavenger hunt is a great way to get the kids exploring the outdoors. I have a little kids scavenger hunt (12 items to find) and a big kids scavenger hunt for tweens and teens (20 items to find).

Printable ocean coloring sheets

If your kids love the ocean and beach (or just adore Disney’s Finding Nemo), print a few of these ocean coloring sheets. They’re hand-drawn and include a few cute scenes with fish and other sea creatures.

DIY mini bird journal

If your family loves backyard birdwatching, this printable bird journal is a cute way to keep up with what you see. It includes several lined pages, which are also perfect for any type of journaling. The cute watercolor birds may just spark some creative writing!

Watermelon emoji printable notes

Watermelons are a summertime staple! These cute watermelon notes have silly emoji faces and space to write notes, leave each other messages, or whatever your kids need them for. The blog post includes a template and tips for printing them on sticky notes if you like.
