Hand out these cute summer contact cards to your kids’ classmates on the last day of school for an easy way to say “see you this summer!”

The last days of school are here. Projects are done. Tests are graded. And teachers have been thanked.
Summer break is almost here. Start the summer by planning a few get-togethers with your child’s friends. Your child can hand out these cute summer contact cards on the last day for a fun and easy way to say “see you this summer!”
Just about every teacher, parent, and kid is ready for 12 glorious weeks of summer vacation. Before you say “see ya later,” remember that summer will feel surprisingly long in just a few weeks.
Make planning some playdates and meetups easy by handing out summer contact cards to your child’s friends on the last day. Basically, your child can give friends a cute little card with their contact information so their friends will call them over the summer.
You could also hand out blank ones to get contact info from your child’s friends.
Contact cards
I designed this cute, simple card to have space for a name, phone number, and email address. You can print them on regular computer paper or card stock.
I’ve also included an option to print on sticky notes. My kids always come home with a backpack stuffed with papers, so the idea that this could be stuck in the front of their homeroom folder or binder sounds like a good way to make sure it doesn’t get lost!
NEW! I gave this post a much-needed update because a lot has changed since my kids were in elementary school. The download now also includes a blank version. It still says “Let’s stay in touch!” but the 3 white boxes are blank. You can write in whatever you like.
- Phone number
- Email address
- Social media handles
- Messenger kids ID
- Other playdate info (eg. date and time for a specific event)
Printing on sticky notes
After you download the printable, you can open the PDF and print it on whatever paper you like.
I’ve also included a template and some instructions for printing on sticky notes.
- First, print the sticky notes template on card stock.
- Add 6 sticky notes to the printed template and reload it into your printer. Make sure the paper is loaded so that the sticky end will slide through first.
- Then print the contact card page onto the sticky notes.
- Peel the sticky notes off of the card stock and repeat for as many cards as you need.
- Write in your contact info.
Tip: Stick all the finished sticky notes together in a single pile with a blank sticky note on the back. This will help them stay sticky on the way to school.
