Inspired by the popularity of my printable tangrams and challenge cards, these printable tangrams mandala puzzles take the challenge to the next level. Match them with tangrams pieces or use them as coloring pages.

My whole family loves puzzles and I know my blog readers do too. I’ve designed quite a few printable games and activity sheets that you guys have enjoyed. I’ve been trying to come up with a fun new idea for my tangrams when I realized that the shapes are similar to those in some mandala patterns I have seen.
Mandalas are supposed to be a repeating pattern, usually a circle, that is used for meditation and relaxing. It’s part of the reason they make such fantastic adult coloring pages!
These are much simpler than traditional mandalas – perfect for young elementary kids. You can also make them a bit more challenging for older elementary kids and middle schoolers.

Tangrams mandala puzzles
I made these tangrams mandalas puzzles in two different styles. The color ones match the tangrams challenge cards I previously shared, so you can match the pieces by color or shape.
The black and white ones are the same patterns but can either be a bigger challenge without the colors to match or can be used as coloring pages.

Either way, these tangrams mandala puzzles can be hours of fun.

Just like classic tangrams, these mandala puzzles will challenge kids to think about colors, matching, spatial reasoning, and patterns. Even if your kids don’t know they’re learning, they are practicing some important skills.

You can use these pages with a tangrams set you already own or print off my tangrams pieces set.
There are 5 different puzzles, so with the color and white version that’s 10 pages altogether.
The pages are best printed at 8.5×11-inches. This will keep them the same size as the tangrams pieces in my original set. You could resize everything smaller, but I’m not sure exactly how to keep the pieces and puzzles the same size. If you don’t need them to be the same size, feel free to print any size you like.
