My kids enjoy school most of the time, but gosh, they really look forward to summer vacation too. Rules keep us in check most of the year. But summer, ah… time to bend the rules and stretch our limits. I like summer vacation too, but I’m a bit of a worker bee.
Having the kids home with me will often “force” me to take a break and enjoy myself. Terrible, I know. It doesn’t take much for summertime relaxation to lead to a little craziness. So to create some organized chaos, we are making a summer bucket list.
I started by making a list of the typical summer things that I remember doing as a kid. Then, I asked my kids what they wanted to do.
To make your own summer bucket list, plan a combination of things. Make sure you have a few things that each family member wants to do, as well as things that everyone enjoys. Plan things that cost money, but make sure you have plenty that are free too.
