Kids will get excited about fall with this fun printable activity sheet! It includes a fall word search, word scramble, and illustrations to color. This isn’t holiday-specific, so it will work all season long.

In the word search, find 20 things you might see in the fall, including foods, nature, and other seasonal vocabulary words.

For the word scramble, identify 5 colors commonly associated with fall. Need a hint? Think about autumn leaves!

There are some longer words included, so this is probably best suited for upper elementary kids. Younger ones can probably solve the puzzle with a bit of help from an adult or older sibling.

I love making word search printables and have been making new ones with this grid/box style. I think it makes it easier to find words because your eye can follow the lines. Plus, it’s fun to color in the boxes for each word instead of trying to draw a long, skinny circle.

You can, of course, use whatever method for marking the words that you like. Color with crayon, circle with a pencil, or use highlighters!
