Smoothies have become my default weekday breakfast. A few years ago, I shared some of my favorite smoothie recipes and ever since, readers have been asking for more. This mango smoothie is one I enjoy year-round, thanks to frozen fruit. It mixes up in minutes, making it the perfect start to a day at home or one on the go.
You’ll see the specific ingredients I used in the photos, but of course, you can easily substitute for your favorite variations, brands, etc.
Swap the banana for more mango. Or use ice. Add pineapple. Try coconut or another dairy-free yogurt. Add any milk or non-dairy variety. Substitute juice. I included the protein powder, only because it’s part of my routine. You can easily leave it out.
If you don’t have a single-serving blender cup, you can make this in the big pitcher. I like the blender cup because I don’t really need to measure ingredients. You can also double this recipe — or make a big batch for the whole family.
How to make a mango smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 small banana
- 1/4 cup yogurt, any type
- 1/4 cup frozen mango chunks
- 1/2 cup milk, any type
- 1 serving protein powder (optional)

Instructions
1. Combine fruit and yogurt.
Peel and break the banana into pieces and put it in the blender cup. Add the yogurt and mango.

2. Add milk and powder.
Fill the cup the rest of the way with milk. If you’re using protein powder, I recommend pouring the milk to about halfway, then adding the powder before filling the rest of the way with milk.

3. Blend and serve.
Click the blender cup onto the motor and pulse until smooth. Serve right away.

I love how quick and easy this is to make — and to customize. Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfasts because you don’t really have to prep much and you can just blend and go on a busy morning.
I hope you enjoy this mango smoothie recipe!
