This smoothie recipe only has 4 ingredients. It’s made with frozen fruit, which you should be able to find at your local grocery store. You can mix it up in just a few minutes. It’s so colorful and pretty!
If you’re not familiar with dragonfruit, it’s the pear-shaped fruit of a cactus that’s popular in southeast Asia. When ripe, it really turns this vibrant pink color. On it’s own, it doesn’t have a lot of flavor. It tastes, as you might expect, a bit like pear. I would describe it as maybe tasting like fruit-infused water.

That makes dragonfruit perfect for blending with other fruits. I just used banana here, so my dragonfruit smoothie has a pretty strong banana flavor. If you prefer, swap the banana for another frozen fruit, like strawberry or pineapple.
I have not tried fresh dragon fruit or made this recipe using it, so I can’t make any suggestions on how to peel and slice it. I’ve heard that fresh dragonfruit has a stronger strawberry-watermelon flavor.

How to make a dragonfruit smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 0.5 cup frozen dragonfruit pieces
- 0.25 cup yogurt, any type
- 1 cup milk, any type

Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients.
Peel and break the banana into chunks. Add the banana, dragonfruit, and yogurt to the blender cup. Add milk up to the fill line. It will be pretty close to a cup of milk, but if your banana is on the larger side, you might need a bit less.

2. Blend and serve.
Pulse the blender a few times, until everything is smoothly combined. Serve right away.
