Whether you’re a certified planner nerd or just looking for a new way to get organized, my printable planner is just what you need!
I’ve been designing and sharing my printable planner pages since 2015, perfecting the layout each year and testing them myself. For 2023, this colorful (but still printer-friendly) planner is a cheerful way to organize your schedule, set goals, or journal about your year.
New for 2023
Every year I evaluate how I use my planner along with feedback from readers. I use that info to decide what changes to make for the next year’s planner. This planner matches my 2022-23 school planner.
One simple design
You’ve heard the saying that you can’t please everyone, but I hope this planner is exactly what you need this year! For 2023, I chose a single design and layout rather than several for a DIY planner. Having too many choices can be a bit overwhelming and trying to figure out print order is a lot of work.
Monthly calendars run across 2 pages. Weekly vertical boxes run from Sunday to Saturday so they fit with the monthly pages. There are quarterly planning, month-at-a-glance, and seasonal bucket lists spread throughout.
The monthly and weekly pages are dated 2023.
Ready to print at home
With only one design, that means that I’m able to offer the planner as print ready! Technically you can just open the PDF and hit print. I’ve got some tips at the bottom of this post for making sure your print turns out best.
You are welcome to have this professionally printed. I’ve priced it out before and because all the pages are color, cost is $50+. It can feel like a lot, but printing at home with ink and paper is less than half that.
Undated printable pages
If you do want to DIY your own planner by mixing and matching pages from several collections, you can see all my previous planners, including the undated version from 2022.
What’s in the 2023 printable planner
The 2023 Keri Houchin Design printable planner includes 156 unique pages. It’s collated in order and print ready.
Cover
- All the colors of the planner rainbow in one place, plus the date in an easy-to-read typeface.
2023 Calendar
- January to December at a glance with a key to highlight holidays, events, etc.
Section dividers
There are no blank pages here! Throughout the planner you’ll find:
- 4 quarterly planning pages to organize a single goal and break it down into small projects and smaller tasks.
- 4 seasonal bucket lists for spring, summer, fall, and winter.
- 4 colorful notes and memories pages.
Month-at-a-glance
- Each month starts with an at-a-glance page for doing a brain dump, highlighting essential tasks and appointments, and reflecting at the end.
Monthly planner spreads
- Each monthly calendar covers 2 pages and is dated 2023. Every month has its own color scheme.
Weekly planner spreads
- Each weekly spread features vertical boxes, covers 2 pages, and is dated 2023. Weekly pages match the monthly color scheme.
- New months don’t always start at the beginning of the week, of course. For simplicity, weekly pages are organized based on the month for Monday. (So for example, the week of Jan. 29 through Feb. 4 appears at the end of January, not the beginning of February.)
How to print your planner
This year’s planner is print-ready, which means all of the monthly and weekly pages are dated and in order (collated). That means you can open the PDF and hit print, although I do recommend checking a few things first.
- Make sure you understand the print order. This will print with the August month, followed by 5 weeks, then the September month, followed by 4 weeks, etc. (And note that most printers print from the last page to first.)
- This planner is 133 pages (plus the cover, which is a separate file). Check your printer to make sure you have enough ink and paper.
- Check your printer settings. This looks best in color on the “best” quality.
- Select 2-sided printing and make sure you understand how the paper will feed. When in doubt, it’s a good idea to do a test print.
Planner assembly
After you’ve printed all the pages, you can:
- Use a hole punch and put them in a 3-ring binder. (My favorite)
- Take them to your favorite copy shop and get them spiral-bound. (I did this once and it cost less than $10.)
- Add them to an existing planner system you use.
