My family loves making handmade ornaments. We’ve got so many now that they don’t all fit on the Christmas tree. One year I set up a second tree so I could have a fancy one and a handmade one.
I think that your family is probably the same because my collection of ideas for filling clear ball ornaments is one of the most popular every year.
And no wonder. Those are really easy ideas! I love easy, so I picked another craft supply that you can find just about anywhere – natural wood slices – and found a bunch of ornaments that you can make with them.
If you’re handy, you can of course take a log and saw it into thin wood slices. You can also purchase them online or at your favorite craft store. Check out these:
- Arteza Natural Wood Slices – 25 pieces, 3.5-4 inches
- Craft Smart Natural Wood Slices Variety Pack – 3 pieces, 3.3 inches
- Place & Time Christmas Laser Cut Unfinished Wood Bulb Ornament – 1 piece, 4.3 inches (These are not a slice with bark, just an ornament shape)
- Natural Wood Slices – 30 pieces, 3.5-4 inches, predrilled holes
- Natural Wood Slices – 20 pieces, 3.5-4.0 inches, screw eyes attached
