Dominoes is a fun, classic game that I think doesn’t get enough attention. It’s so simple but makes great fun for kids and adults.
I’m a big fan of any game that you can learn and play quickly. {See my other printable games!} Plus, there aren’t too many pieces to keep up with.
In fact, I created this printable rainbow unicorn dominoes set to be small and portable. You can stick it in a purse or bag and have easy entertainment wherever you are.
While I don’t mind my kids playing on their phones, I love the idea of whipping out a bag of paper dominoes while waiting for food at a restaurant.

Rainbow unicorn dominoes
After days of rainy weather, I was in the mood for something bright and cheerful. I think these unicorns are perfect for that.
I made a set of 28 dominoes. Each one has a colorful unicorn in place of a number. (So if you’re playing with preschoolers, no need to count.) And the pieces are outlined in rainbows.
Game assembly
This includes a set of 28 printable dominoes, plus instructions. The pages will fit 8.5×11-inch paper and I used basic card stock. Cut out each rectangle.
You could also laminate the individual dominoes to make them more durable.

How to play
I included the instructions on the printable for reference.
- Turn the cards face down on a table and shuffle them by moving them around. Push the pile to one side of the table.
- Each player draws 7 cards to begin.
- The youngest player goes first. Place a card face up in the middle of the table.
- Going clockwise around the table, each player takes a turn. If you have a card in your hand that matches one of the unicorns, place it on the table next to the matching unicorn. If you don’t have a matching card, draw 1.
- The first person with no cards in their hand wins.

Rainbow unicorn dominoes are a fun rainy day activity for kids. It’s also great for entertainment in a restaurant, on a road trip, or anytime you want a quick game to play.
