If you need some easy pumpkin carving ideas, you’ll love these printable jack o’lantern templates!
There are 8 to choose from, whether you want to do traditional jack o’lantern carving or make a craft. You can use these for cutting with a knife (and other carving tools) or no-carve crafts.
I used several of these to make my Halloween pumpkin jars. For those, I drew the faces with a permanent marker. You could also use paint, tape, or other craft supplies.

Jack o’lantern faces
There are 8 different templates included in a single download. Each face fits an 8.5×11-inch page at full size. That makes them perfect for carving large jack o’lanterns.
For the glass bottle craft or for decorating smaller pumpkins, you’ll need to print them smaller. Depending on the size of your bottles, you may want to scale down before printing.
They’re all a bit different in size, but here are a few general guides:
- Full size: 6-7 inches wide
- 50%: 3-4 inches wide
- 25%: 1.5-2 inches wide
If you need a precise measurement, I recommend doing a test print using the draft setting on your printer. Note that the smaller you print the pumpkin carving templates, the smaller tools you’ll need to get around corners and details.
