LEGO Christmas ornaments are fun and easy to make. If you already have a starter box of LEGO bricks and pieces, you probably have everything you need. Best of all, these ornaments can be taken apart and put back in the LEGO bins to play with year-round.
I challenged my kids to come up with some easy LEGO ornaments that anyone could make without much instruction. Here is what they created.
*Note: I’ve done my best naming the pieces, but some can be a little confusing. If in doubt, check the pictures.

How to make LEGO Christmas ornaments
LEGO candy cane

What you need:
- six 2×2 red bricks
- four 2×2 white bricks
- one 2×4 white brick
How to build it:
Alternate stacking red and white squares for the long section. Use the larger white piece to make the curve, then add two more “stripes” to finish the hook.
LEGO wreath

What you need:
- ten 2×2 flat red bricks
- five 1×2 flat green bricks
- five red dots
- one red 2×2 circle piece
How to build it:
Connect each square at the corners, alternating over and under. When you have attached all ten pieces, connect the two ends to form a circle/star. Attach each green piece in the same corner of each front square. Snap the red dots in front of the green pieces to look like holly. Attach the red circle onto the back to hang the wreath.

- one 1×2 black receiver
- three 1×1 gray flat vertical holders
- two gray 2×2 flat angles
- one 1×3 flat gray brick
- two black dots
- one red dot
How to build it:
For the body, use the slopes and 1x2s to make the legs. Attach the flat pieces as hooves. Use the 2×4 and 2×2 brick for the torso and attach the legs.
For the head, attach the back pieces to the flat brown brick. Assemble the antler and snap the onto the head.
This one is a bit more details, so it is helpful to study the photos. Assemble the body and head separately. Attach the head to the body with the hinge. Use the antlers to hang the ornament.

- six 1×3 bricks
- two 1×2 bricks
- two 1×4 bricks
- one gray 1×1 with a hole
How to build it:
Start at the top with one, then widen each row going down to 3, 5, and 7. Do the opposite for the bottom half of the ornament from 7, 5, 3, to 1. Attach the gray piece at the top to hang the ornament.
LEGO present

What you need:
- one flat 6×6 brick (Any color works, yellow here shows the contrast.)
- twenty 2×2 red bricks
- twenty-six 2×2 blue bricks
- three 2×3 blue bricks
- two 1×2 blue bricks
How to build it:
Start by assembling columns of 2×2, making stacks of five. You should have four red columns and five blue ones. One blue column will have six pieces; this goes in the center. Attach the columns to the base, making the corner columns red and the others blue. For the bow, attach the two 1×2 bricks at opposite ends of the blue columns. Connect the center piece and end pieces using the last two blue bricks.

- five 1×3 flat bricks
- six 1×8 flat bricks
- six 2×3 flat bricks
- six 2×2 flat bricks
- one white connector with a hole.
How to build it:
Build the centerpiece by layering three 1x3s in a row and using the other two 1x3s on the back to hold them together. Attach four of the 1x8s to the corners on the front and two of the 1x8s on the back in the gap between the other pieces. Attach the 2x3s and 2x2s evenly around to create a pattern. Snap the white piece on one end to hang the snowflake.
