You’ve decorated the house, done all your gift shopping, and planned breakfast for Christmas morning. But don’t forget the stocking stuffers! I often put stockings off until closer to Christmas Day and they’re easy to forget.
After all the bigger presents, you don’t want to spend too much on stocking stuffers. But you also don’t want to fill them with cheap trinkets that will be broken or discarded within weeks. Stocking stuffers don’t have to be hard to choose – or expensive.
Food is the perfect stocking stuffer, especially if you can fill each person’s stocking with their favorites that they maybe don’t get all year long. Shop for a mix of sweet and savory items that they can enjoy on Christmas Day.
Note that many of the Amazon products linked below are in multipacks. I try to choose items that everyone likes so that I can divide one pack between all the stockings.
If you want just one single-serving size product, I recommend stopping by your local World Market. They have TONS of great mini snacks, drinks, etc.
The yummy stocking stuffer list
1. Fruit snacks
Annie’s are a favorite at my house, perhaps because they’re shaped like bunnies. Welch’s has a special variety that’s Christmas themed.
2. Fruit leather or dried fruit
If you have a Sprouts or other grocery store that has a bulk dry goods section, you can choose your own small portions. Some dried fruits, like candied pineapple and dried apricots, are pretty sweet.
3. Candy
There are tons of holiday versions of many candy brands like Lifesavers Storybooks and Sour Patch Kids. Even a full-sized bar of your child’s favorite is a fun surprise.
4. Chocolate
Chocolate coins are classics and this Hershey’s assortment has fun Christmas shapes, including milk chocolate Santas, Reese’s peanut butter trees, and York peppermint snowflakes. We also love Justin’s PB cups.
5. Gum
Gum-chewers tend to have their favorite brands and flavors. For a fun throwback to the 90s, try Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape or Fruit Stripe Gum.
6. Cookies
Look for mini versions of your kids’ favorites, like Oreo sandwich cookies or Mother’s Circus Animal cookies. For a fun festive treat, get some gingerbread men or stroopwafels.
7. Pop-tarts
Pop-Tarts come in a ton of different flavors these days and you can even get holiday sugar cookie ones. The Christmas variety tends to sell out quickly.
8. Single-serve cereal
If you try to avoid sugary cereals most of the year, these single-serve cups are a treat for kids. Bonus, your kids can get their own breakfast while you enjoy your coffee for a few more minutes.
9. Jam or jelly
Your family will feel fancy spreading some of these gourmet jams onto toast in the morning. As an alternative, look for gourmet or local honey.
10. Mini Nutella
How cute are these miniature Nutella packs? I’ve seen snack packs that include cookies too.
11. Snack mix
Go for something sweet like Hershey’s chocolate snack mix or something salty like Cheez-it snack mix.
12. Beef jerky
In addition to beef, you can also find jerky from other meats like turkey and wild game.
13. Popcorn
Gourmet popcorn is almost a Christmas staple. Stocking-sized packages will disappear even more quickly than the giant metal tin.
14. Pretzels
Pretzels can be a sweet or savory option like these chocolate dipped pretzel rods or classic Utz pretzels in holiday shapes.
15. Potato chips
Pringles are perfect stocking stuffers because the small cans are very durable and won’t get crunched.
16. Sprinkles
Of course, sprinkles aren’t really a snack on their own, but they’re a fun addition if you’re planning to decorate cookies or a gingerbread house later.
17. Marshmallows
There’s something magical about a marshmallow, whether it’s the mini marshmallows you see in cocoa and cereal or giant gourmet marshmallows.
18. Cocoa mix
Single-serve hot cocoa is perfect for little ones on Christmas morning. Choose varieties that work with hot water to make it even easier.
19. Hot tea
For adults who drink tea, a hot tea sampler is a treat. Make sure the recipient has a tea strainer if you’re gifting loose-leaf.
20. Instant coffee
If coffee is your morning drink of choice, there are lots of choices. Check out this Starbucks VIA sampler or, if you have a Keurig, this K-cup sampler.
21. Mini soda
My kids think it’s a treat to get a soda in a glass bottle, especially if it’s something they rarely see like Dublin Bottling Works.
22. Magic milk straws
One of the simplest pleasures for little kids is flavored milk and these Magic Milk straws turn any glass of milk into a treat.

These are great stocking stuffer suggestions. I love Annie’s brand products. Oh and those peanut butter cups look pretty good too!
Thanks! The peanut butter cups are so good! And usually around $2 a package.
