These valentine’s cards are sweet – literally! Each one includes an illustration of a sweet treat, all dressed up for Valentine’s Day. Grab your crayons or markers to color in the ice cream cone, cupcake, and heart candies.

I think it would be cute to have kids decorate these to send to family in the mail or give to a teacher. You can also use them as classroom valentines, although for a large class that might be a lot of coloring and folding.

How to assemble the valentines

1. Print.

Each card design is on a single page to print out. You can use card stock if you prefer, but regular printer paper works fine too. Folding makes the cards a bit sturdier.

2. Fold.

Fold the page in half along the short length first with the blank side facing in. Give that edge a good crease. Then fold the page in half again, going the other direction, and crease. You should have the big picture on the front and the Happy Valentine’s Day message inside.

3. Color.

Finally, color the card however you desire using crayons, pencils, markers, or your favorite art supplies. (You can actually color before folding if you prefer, but I decided to fold mine first.)

Color the inside and/or write your own personal message and sign the card.

Inside a folded card, a message that reads "Happy Valentine's Day."
