Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year. It is the perfect day to get outside and enjoy nature. You could take a walk, play at the park, or spend some time planting things in your garden.

Of course, the other thing April is known for is showers.

I always try to appreciate those rainy days because it’s one less day I have to spend watering my yard to keep it green. Spring rainy days aren’t great for playing outside, though.

Just in case we have a rainy day – or you need some quiet time at your house – I made a printable coloring page.

Coloring page

I wanted to make something cute that could easily be really colorful. I love the idea of doodles inside the letters in a word and came up with this printable. It has “Happy Earth Day!” written in a large, chunky font with a few flowery doodles. There is also a big flower and a honey bee to color.

The bee on this coloring page looks super chill, which is how I hope your day ends up.

I like to use permanent markers for coloring because they look like watercolors and I can kind of blend the colors together. Of course, I do not let my kids color with them. Colored pencils and regular crayons are just as fun.
