Halloween is my favorite holiday. I’m one of those people who gets excited about #CodeOrange hints on Instagram, sharing that someone found a Halloween treasure at TJ Maxx or At Home. It usually starts in July.
As soon as the bigger stores like Michaels and Target start putting out Halloween ads, I start browsing and planning my Halloween theme for the year.
If you like to shop year-round or live in a city where the shelves aren’t overflowing with skeletons and pumpkins before October, it can be a challenge. And of course, if you celebrate the aesthetic year-round, it can be a bummer to only find spooky decor a few weeks out of the year.
So I thought it would be fun to put together a list of the best year-round Halloween stores I’ve found. Some have just a few things in the off-season while others are dedicated every single day.
Seasonal code orange finds
These stores usually start putting Halloween on the store shelves as early as July, though it varies by state and year. You can often find new Halloween products on their websites before it appears in your local store. Most have a few things online year-round.
At Home
At Home carries a wide range of indoor and outdoor home decor. For Halloween, they have everything from tabletop decor to outdoor inflatables.
Michaels
Michaels is my go-to store for Halloween crafting, but they have a bunch of home decor too. Each year they usually have a few different themes.
JoAnn
JoAnn is hands-down the best place to find fabric for making Halloween costumes, accessories, and even seasonal everyday clothes. They have so many cute prints! I often make trick-or-treat bags just so I can use them.
Target
Target tends to be one of the last stores to put Halloween decor and costumes in stores. I usually find it at mine after school starts in August. You can find out what’s coming to the Hyde and Eek section online.
Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree feels like the best-kept secret when it comes to Halloween DIY. I’ve made plenty of crafts using Dollar Tree supplies, like my Halloween ornaments and these giant spiders.
Anytime Halloween stores
These Halloween stores are open all year!
Oriental Trading
I love to shop Oriental Trading for Halloween parties. They sell a lot of their products in bulk, but there is also Halloween decor, candy, costumes, and craft supplies. If you’re doing one of these trunk-or-treat themes, you’ll definitely want to check them out!
HalloweenCostumes.com
Don’t let the name fool you, HalloweenCostumes.com has a whole lot more than costumes. Of course, they have a huge inventory of those too. And there are a lot of exclusive costumes you won’t find in other stores.
I’ve found really cool Halloween decor here, like these Halloween succulent planters and this adorable candy corn ghost. And I hate to let the secret out, but they carry Johanna Parker decor too!
Right now my wishlist is full of accessories that I wear year-round, including cute purses and ugly Christmas and Halloween sweaters that are not actually ugly.
Be sure to check out their sister site, Fun.com too. It has different Halloween products, including clothes and home decor.
Spirit Halloween
You know Spirit Halloween for mysteriously appearing at the most recently abandoned storefronts around town, but you can also find them online all year. Spirit Halloween is also mostly costumes, but they have decor too.
Spirit is great for officially licensed things. They have lots of collectibles for Disney – Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus – and other pop culture. Sprit also carries Loungefly bags and Funko.
Halloween Town
I haven’t shopped here yet but heard positive things about Halloween Town. They have a brick-and-mortar store in California and sell online too. If you live in or near Burbank, it looks worth popping in because some stuff says “in-store only.”
This is the kind of place you could wander around for a while. They’ve got toys and clothes and home decor for every room in your house. I found a whole section of vintage Halloween – think blow molds and Beistle paper decorations.
Traditions
Traditions is a small family-run business with a brick-and-mortar store in California. They started out at a year-round Christmas store, but have expanded to include just about every holiday.
They have a lot of stuff online, everything from traditional holiday decorations and ornaments to table decor. My favorite thing is that they carry lots of folk art and you can search the site by the artist. You’ll find Christopher Radko and Department 56, Johanna Parker, and Glitterville.
In my experience, they wrap everything really nicely for shipping. So if you order a fragile glass collectible, it will arrive in perfect condition.
Em and Sprout
I’ve been following Em and Sprout on Etsy for a while and they also have a store on their own website. Em and Sprout sells spooky cute home goods, clothes, and accessories.
They have the cutest pajamas and leggings, jewelry, hair clips, etc. All the designs are fun patterns, like ghosts and bats and skulls – in pastel colors.
ModCloth
If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that when I’m not thrifting one of my favorite clothing stores is ModCloth. They’re known for their vintage dresses and shoes, but also have lots of cute Halloween clothes. They have a lot more during the holiday, but during the off-season, you’re likely to find items on sale and clearance.
Tee Turtle
Tee Turtle sells adorable nerdy tee shirts for adults, kids, and teens. Most of their shirts include cute cartoon animals and puns. You can search the site to find Halloween aesthetics like zombies and witches anytime. They also have Disney villains and Nightmare Before Christmas designs.
Etsy
Etsy has become kind of a giant, but it’s still a good place to find handmade items sold by small businesses and artists. You can, of course, search for a myriad of keywords to find Halloween decor and clothes.
A few of my favorite spooky Etsy artists are:
- Spookshow Babe – creepy cute art and jewelry
- One Eleven Pottery – witchy mugs and pottery
- Cat Mallard – mostly bat and cat-themed ink drawings
- Stacey Martin Tattoos – retro tattoo style art prints, stickers, and pins
- Roadside Cottage – kitchen linens, but she has some Halloween fabric
Creepy Company
Creepy Company carries horror and spooky-themed clothes and accessories. Among other things, they have officially licensed button-up shirts from Goosebumps, Beistle, and Halloween.
Redbubble
Like Etsy, Redbubble kind of has everything. They’re a print-on-demand business powered by independent artists. You can find Halloween clothes, stickers, art, and more.
I used to offer my creepy cute ice cream stickers on Redbubble and I think the print quality is excellent. (You can now download and print the stickers at home.)
Attic Salt
Attic Salt is an accessories store that carries socks, jewelry, bags, and gift-type items. The Spellbound vibe has a mix of witchy and zodiac things. Your best bet is to search the site for something specific (like skulls, bats, or whatever your style is).
Box Lunch
At Box Lunch, you can find clothes, toys and collectibles, and pop culture goodies. They have a Halloween section with tons of options. Box Lunch carries brands and fandoms like Our Universe, Funko, Loungefly, Disney, Stranger Things, and Harry Potter.
The Disney Store
As you might expect, the Disney Store carries all of its movie and tv characters. The Halloween Shop has clothes for adults and kids, costumes and accessories, games, and collectibles.
This wraps up my list with several year-round Halloween stores to shop at, plus several to keep your eye on before fall. If you know of a great store that’s not on my list, let me know and I’ll check it out!

Hello, I’m new to this site but love al the help you have given. Im wanting to give my newphew a children of the corn themed birthday party his name is Malakai. lol yes my brother named him after the boy in the movie, but I’m having a hard time finding anything children of the corn I live in Texas. and holloween In July is not very common in these parts. Can you plz help me 🙏
Hi Francesca – I live in Texas too! All the stores in this post have online shops, although I’m not sure I’ve seen any Children of the Corn licensed decor. I would look for dried cornstalks, a scarecrow, a scythe, or maybe some generic farm-type things like hay bales and fence posts. I think that Hobby Lobby has their fall decor out now (corn, wheat, pumpkins) and Home Depot will probably have some online. If you need party goods like balloons, streamers, and plates, then I’d recommend getting plain black from your local Dollar Tree (bonus: you can use extras for something else later). Hope that helps!
