Watermelon and summer go together perfectly. And this watermelon slush is a burst of flavor that will keep your kids cool on a hot summer afternoon.
This recipe is mostly fruit and ice. For the simple syrup, I used Torani rose syrup. Simple syrup blends into a cold drink better than regular sugar, and you can use any flavor you want.
If you prefer to make your own simple syrup from scratch, combine equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar has dissolved completely. Simple syrup can be made in bulk and kept in the refrigerator to have on hand for single-serving drinks like this slush.

You can make a fruit slush using other types of fruit too. Since watermelon has such a high water content, you may need to add water to blend other fruits.
