Moon Pies are such a great treat! When I was dreaming up space-themed valentine ideas, they immediately came to mind!
I don’t buy them often, but they’re perfectly soft cookies with a sweet cream filling. For kids with braces, these are nice and soft – unlike a lot of the hard or sticky candy they can’t have.
Grab a box from the grocery store or pick one of the other ideas I linked to below. Then simply print, cut, and tape the cards to each individually wrapped package.

Valentine treat ideas
Moon Pies are the perfect round treat to hand out with these cards, but here are a few food and non-food options. (Sidebar: Moon Pies come in mini, regular, and double-decker. They’re also chocolate, vanilla, or banana. I went with the chocolate mini because that’s all they had at my grocery store.)
- Milky Way minis
- Starburst valentine packs
- Trolli Sour Gummi Martian Mix
- Fruit Roll-Ups Mystery Flavor
- Galaxy slime
- Space erasers
- Planet bouncy balls

Space valentines designs
There are 6 different card designs on a single page. Print multiple copies on card stock, cut them out, and attach them to your treat of choice.
Each valentine is a circle with a planet and a punny phrase. The star border makes it easy to follow and cut out with scissors.
