If you or your kids have ever sat down to draw but didn’t know where to start, these printable pages are just what you need. There are 10 different prompts, each with a different question and simple line art to get you started.

Kids’ drawing prompts

All of these pages measure 8.5×11 inches and are included in a PDF download below. There are 7 vertical pictures and 3 horizontal pictures.

  • What grows here? Rolling hills and empty fields.
  • Who lives here? A fence and outline of a house.
  • What’s the surprise? An open gift box.
  • What is the cat thinking? A snoozing kitty with a dream bubble.
  • What’s under the water? A boat over an empty ocean or lake.
  • Whose eyes are these? A lone pair of eyes.
  • Who’s at the door? An open door to anywhere.
  • Where are you going? The beginning of a map.
  • What’s in the truck? A pickup with an empty cab and bed.
  • What’s for dinner? A plate and silverware.
