June holidays

National Gingerbread Day

On June 5th, fans of gingerbread bake up cookies, cakes, and more to celebrate National Gingerbread Day! You might think of this treat as something that goes with Christmas, but it’s delicious any day of the year.

National Drive-in Movie Day

Celebrate National Drive-in Movie Day on June 6th to commemorate the very first drive-in, which opened on June 6, 1933. Find a theater near you to watch a movie or if there’s not one nearby, set up a sheet and projector in your own backyard.

National Donald Duck Day

The iconic Disney character Donald Duck is celebrated on June 9th, when he first appeared in film in 1934. Celebrate National Donald Duck Day by watching a few cartoons or reading a book.

Eat Your Vegetables Day

If you’re looking for a creative way to get the kids to eat their veggies, try celebrating Eat Your Vegetables Day on June 17th. This is a great day to try a new veggie or a new way of cooking it.

National Seashell Day

If your summer vacation takes you to the beach, you’re sure to find seashells in the sand. National Seashell Day is every year on June 21 to mark the beginning of summer. This is a fun day to make seashell crafts or learn about the animals that live in shells.

National Pink Flamingo Day

Whether you think they are tacky or terrific, National Pink Flamingo Day celebrates the plastic yard flamingo on June 23. They’ve been made since 1957 and they’re still an iconic summer decoration.

Add these unique June holidays to your family’s plans or download this printable coloring calendar to use every year!
