The countdown until the first day of school has begun! Are your kids getting excited?
For little ones, doing a few activities to count down the days can help create a routine. It’s a great way to help kids who are excited be patient – and for those who are nervous, it can ease worries by making school traditions more familiar.
Even older kids enjoy some of the familiar routines of meeting the teacher, getting the new schedule, and choosing a special outfit for the first day of school.
One of my favorite school year activities is shopping for supplies. There’s something about a fresh box of crayons and a shiny new folder that’s just lovely.
All that to say, when I sat down to draw these coloring pages, I immediately thought about school supplies! You can use these as regular coloring pages or they’d also be cute slid into a pocket as a binder cover.
School supply coloring sheets
I drew 2 different designs for these back to school coloring pages. Both include illustrations of classic elementary school supplies. One is a simpler page with large Back to School lettering and the other has detailed patterns.
