Do you need a little inspiration for creative Valentine’s Day gifts for your geeky sweetheart or the kids? My Easter Baskets for Geeks post has been a hit, so I thought I would write a version for Valentine’s Day ideas.
Valentine’s Day is kind of all about the candy, but there are lots of fun ideas for non-candy gifts too. In fact, if you’re working on valentines for your child’s class, a simple non-candy idea is sometimes the best.
My family enjoys all the geeky things from a lot of different fandoms. If you need some nerdy ideas to gift to fans of Star Wars, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Marvel, Doctor Who, or video games here are a few Valentine’s Day gifts for geeks.
Geeky valentine ideas
I did a bit of virtual window shopping and found a ton of fun geeky gift ideas on Amazon.com.
Star Wars Valentines
- His and hers matching Han & Leia pillowcase set. One says “I love you” and the other says “I know.”
- This Star Wars Valentine’s Day tee shirt isn’t cheesy and would be fun to wear year-round.
- Everything you need for handing out cards at school is included in this Star Wars Valentine kit.
Pokemon Valentines
- If you need a toy to attach to cards for school, these Pokemon Silicone Wristband Bracelets are cute.
- Pokemon Reader: Pikachu in Love is a cute easy reader book that would be fun for kids.
- Each one of these Pokeball bath bombs has a mystery pokemon inside!
- It’s pretty cliche now, but that doesn’t make this card that says “I choose you” any less adorable.
Harry Potter Valentines
- This Harry Potter Hedwig Mug would be a fun gift paired with coffee, tea, or cocoa.
- Hallmark makes a Harry Potter Valentine kit like the Star Wars one above too.
- I love this fancy pop-up card that says “If I’m a Keeper, Then You’re A Catch.” What can I say? Geeks love puns too.
- For your partner or bestie, this puzzle keychain pair is so sweet. One side says “After All This Time” and the other says “Always.”
Marvel Valentines
- Already one of the most memorable lines from Avengers, this engraved Iron Man keychain says “I Love You 3000.”
- The cute and subtle design of this Deadpool Valentine’s Day shirt makes it appropriate to wear anywhere (unlike most of the ones my teens find).
- This pack of classroom Marvel valentines includes tattoos.
Doctor Who Valentines
- I always love sneaky geek accessories like this engraved Doctor Who bracelet that says “Hello Sweetie” on the inside.
- This Doctor Who zip wallet is also understated enough to carry anywhere without standing out.
- The Official Doctor Who Cookbook is the perfect item for a geek who is also a foodie.
- My family loves this Doctor Who coloring book. My tip is to make copies of the pages so you can color them without “messing up” the book.
Video Game Valentines
- You can nerdify any valentine card with these 8-Bit Heart Stickers.
- This Minecraft valentine kit includes a mailbox, cards, and stickers for 32 kids.
- How cute is this Nerdy Nummies baking set? Even if your sweetie isn’t a fan of the YouTube show, they’ll like the 8-bit heart design.
