Way back in 2020 when I was first creating Backyard Summer Camp, I put together a simple little planner to help parents create a summer routine when it felt like nothing was routine. That idea became a whole separate blog where you can plan a DIY summer camp at home for your kids.
The planner is still here though, and I decided it was time to make that printable available to One Mama’s Daily Drama readers again.
The summer staycation planner is a simple set of organizing pages in the cheerful One Mama’s Daily Drama colors – pink, yellow, green, and blue.
Staycation planner pages
This downloadable staycation planner has 5 pages.
Planner cover
I design a cover page for all my printable planner pages. This one is simple. It says Our Summer Staycation Planner in big block letters.

Summer bucket list
The summer bucket list page is divided into four boxes, each with lines and checkboxes.
- Places to go
- Activities to do
- Things to learn
- Food to eat

Daily summer routine
You can use the daily summer routine page to create a single routine you use every day or write the date at the top for a one-off schedule.
There’s space for a long schedule and smaller boxes for that day’s meal plan, errands, and to do list.

Weekly summer routine
Use the weekly summer routine the same way. Create a routine you’ll repeat every week or just plan a single week’s schedule.
There’s space for a goal at the top (if you have one) and a box for each day of the week. There are also lines for reminders and notes.

Monthly summer routine
The monthly summer routine page is a calendar with up to 6 weeks. Write the month at the top and date the small boxes. This printable could also be used as a tracker, if there’s something you want to check off every day.
Lines at the bottom give you space for notes.

Print these undated planner pages at home and get ready to organize your summer schedule! I made this pretty versatile, so it will be handy whether your kids are preschoolers or teens.

Get the printable
Download a printable PDF file with all 5 pages. The summer staycation planner is intended to print at 8.5×11 inches on plain paper. All printables are for personal use only.
