Christmas is the perfect time for party games! With a couple of weeks for winter break, kids will get bored quickly. Play Christmas bingo any day leading up to the holiday for a fun family activity.
I designed a mix of cards, so you can play this with a group too. For a holiday party, pick up a few small toys or candy to use as prizes for each round.
All the illustrations are cute and festive icons. You’ll find a reindeer and gingerbread man, a wreath, candy cane, nutcracker, hot cocoa, and more.
How to play Bingo
Here’s a quick overview of how to play bingo. Feel free to customize the game rules to fit the age of your kids! (There are instructions included with the PDF download also.)
- Put all the draw cards in a bowl or container. One person is the caller and chooses the card for each round and calls it out. This could be an adult or one of the kids playing, as long as everyone agrees it’s fair.
- Each player gets a Bingo card and a handful of markers. Beans are classic, but you can use anything small. I already had these felt balls in my craft cabinet.
- On each round, the caller chooses a card without looking and announces what it is. It might also be helpful to show the card to the group. Each player uses a marker to cover that picture on their card.
- The caller draws cards one at a time until someone says bingo! To get a bingo, a player needs to have 5 boxes in a row covered by a marker. They can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. The free space in the center automatically counts for everyone.
- Check the winner against the cards that have been drawn, then play again!
For this printable, you’ll find 8 different Christmas bingo cards, plus one page of draw cards to cut out along the dotted lines. You can play with more than 8 players, but you’ll need to print extra cards. Since there will be identical cards, plan on having 2 winners per round.
