Using a weekly planner is handy for getting organized, planning your schedule, and sorting your to-do list into daily tasks.
These blank weekly planner pages will work for anyone! I designed one-page and 2-page versions, and there are a couple of styles to fit whatever you need.
Print just one week at a time or a whole year’s worth of pages. Download all the styles and use a different layout each month. It’s totally up to you!
These templates are pretty simple, so you can use them with your favorite pens, colored pencils, highlighters, stickers, washi tape, etc. They fit the stickers in the Keri Houchin Design Shop and most stickers that are compatible with Happy Planner.
If you’re looking for an easy way to put the date at the top of each column, you’ll love these watercolor date stickers!
Weekly planner templates
One Mama’s Daily Drama readers have asked for several different weekly planner layouts over the years. And I’ve tried them all myself and find that my mood changes throughout the year. Printables make it easy to change up your planner any time you like.
One-page weekly spread
The one-page weekly planner is similar to the Happy Planner dashboard layout. It’s great for planners who prefer to keep it short and sweet.
2-page vertical box spread
The 2-page vertical box spread is similar to the Happy Planner classic layout. The left page includes a big box for a list or week at a glance. Then there are 3 boxes for each day – 3 days on the left page and 4 days on the right.
I start my planner weeks on Monday, but lots of people start on Sunday. This layout makes it easy to start on whichever day you like.
Boxes are perfect for stickers and washi tape. There’s plenty of space at the top to write out the date or use number stickers.
2-page vertical line spread
The 2-page vertical line spread is the same as the box version, but it has lines in each box. It’s handy for planners who like to write and make lists.
You can also break your schedule down into morning, afternoon, and evening and list the hours.
Each column still has 3 sections, and each one has a larger heading space and skinny lines underneath.
2-page vertical grid spread
As you might have already guessed, the 2-page vertical grid spread is just like the box and line spreads. If you like to use a grid journal or bullet journal format, this is a handy layout.
This would also be great if you’re looking for a simple tracker for multiple items daily.
It’s also perfect for anyone who loves stickers and washi tape, but needs them to be really straight and lined up!
How to use a weekly planner
My weekly planner is probably the core of my own personal organizing strategy. Of course, you can use it however you like, but here’s what works for me.
1. Decide what you want to plan.
Start by choosing what each of the 3 sections will do for you. It might be:
- daily to-do list
- essential tasks or deadlines and appointments
- meal plan
- motivational quotes
- drawing
- journal
It’s handy to divide the sections up, either with washi tape or by coloring in the heading areas. This creates a sort of visual reminder of the categories. And of course, if you’re a sticker user, you can use sticker headlines for all the boxes.
2. Fill in the fixed items.
Create a weekly ritual of filling in the fixed items on your weekly calendar.
So if you’re using one of the boxes for your meal plan, sit down and write out your daily meal plan in those boxes. Or if you want to organize deadlines and appointments, put them in the boxes as soon as you know what they are.
3. Work on your planner daily.
Using a planner isn’t a one-and-done tool. Most people who struggle with using one are great at writing down all the lists but don’t check in regularly to make sure they’re doing the things.
I keep my planner open on my desk where I’m working. That might not work for you, but it’s important to check it every day so you know what you need to do and mark off what’s done.
This can be as simple as spending 5 minutes in the morning checking what’s in that day’s boxes and spending another 5 minutes at the end of the day checking items off.
