I’ve always had a love of vintage and retro, so I was thrilled to see that the Roaring 20s style – art deco and funky colors – is coming back in style a bit.
I created a few holiday greetings printables with 1920s inspiration. Of course, these aren’t entirely accurate to the decade and I put a modern twist on them. I was feeling indecisive and couldn’t decide which design was best, so I’ve got a few different styles for you.

Holiday cards
I narrowed it down to three different phrases and made them for a regular 8×10-inch printable for framing and a 4×6-inch greeting card to send to friends and family.
All of these vintage holiday greetings can be printed at home or at your favorite copy shop.
Printing tips
To print flat cards:
- Open the PDF, choose your paper size, and hit print.
- I print all my designs on the best setting on my printer.
- You can print on regular card stock and trim the cards, but it’s even easier if you print directly onto 4×6 card stock.
To print on folded cards:
- Open the PDF, choose your paper size, and adjust your printer setting to print the design on the front of the card.
- On my printer, I select layout and choose 2 pages per sheet with the direction going right to left.
- You can print on card stock and trim or get greeting card paper like this Avery half-fold greeting card stock or Avery quarter-fold greeting card stock.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
This printable features the classic holiday greeting: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
It’s perfect for sending out as a greeting card later in December if you’re not someone who has their Christmas cards ready to mail right after Thanksgiving. It’s not procrastination, it’s a New Year’s card.
Peace, Love and Joy
My Amazon wish list may be pretty long, but when it comes down to it there are really only three things I actually want for Christmas.
I think Peace, Love & Joy is a holiday sentiment that everyone can agree on.
Yuletide Greetings
In my research on vintage Christmas cards, I found many that seem formal by today’s ugly-sweater-family-photo card standards. In addition to Yuletide Greetings, they said things like Season’s Greetings and Joyeaux Noel.
