Sometimes you need a quick and easy snack. Whether you’re feeding kids after school or need a big appetizer for a party, these cheesy crescent pizza bites hit the spot. The combination of hot, melty cheese and pepperoni makes this finger food good for kids and adults.

Cheesy crescent pizza bites
The first time I made these just before everyone was coming home from school and work. As soon as my daughter walked in the door, she could smell them. I’d just taken them out of the oven and she was excited before she even got to the kitchen. By the time I had the crescents off of the baking tray and on the table, everyone was sitting and waiting.
I’ve tweaked this recipe just a bit since I first made it. My secret for getting big, fluffy rolls is to stack two crescent rolls for each one! I’m amazed at how much better they look and I think I’m going to do this every time I make something with crescent roll dough.

Ingredients
- 2 8-count package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 pieces of sliced mozzarella cheese
- 40 pepperoni slices
Instructions
Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll package directions. Mine cooked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Cut {or tear} the mozzarella slices in half diagonally into triangles.

For each crescent roll, layer two pieces of crescent dough, one cheese triangle, 5 pepperoni slices, and then another cheese triangle. Starting at the big end, roll up the crescent dough with everything inside.

Make sure you stick the little end of the dough to dough, not pepperoni or cheese, so it will stay closed. These look crazy-full, but they’ll turn out perfect. Space the crescent rolls evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to the crescent roll package directions. Mine cooked for 14 minutes to come out golden brown.

Let the cheesy crescent pizza bites cool for a minute or two before taking them off the baking sheet. The cheese that is sticking out of the rolls is going to have stuck to the pan and gotten just a bit crispy, so I recommend using a metal spatula.
I also recommend that you keep the cheesiest ones for yourself because this is the best part!

Serve the pizza rolls hot. You could make up some marinara sauce for dipping, but we liked these without.
Leftovers can be kept covered in the refrigerator for a day or two. To reheat, pop them in the toaster oven so they get nice and crisp again.
