You won’t believe how easy this recipe is. This 2-ingredient guacamole recipe is so good and comes together in minutes. It’s perfect for Cinco de Mayo, Taco Tuesday, or pretty much every day in between.
Jokari kitchen tools
I’m a foodie and a mom, so you can often find me in the kitchen making up something from scratch – or nearly that – to give my kids a healthy meal. After watching Alton Brown on Good Eats for years, I try not to purchase any unitaskers. After all, space in my small kitchen is at a premium.
However, every now and then I come across a product that meets a need and one of my biggest needs is saving time while still making fresh, healthy food like our favorite shortcut guacamole recipe.
The Jokari kitchen tools do just that. They’ve got everything from serving utensils to measuring tools that help with portion control. They’ve also got several items, such as the avocado pro, that aim to simplify cooking.
The avocado pro makes going from avocado to guacamole a snap with one tool. It has a sharp edge for cutting the avocado in half and removing the seed, a slicer end for cutting out the meat, and a masher for making guacamole.
When I tried it out, I had a hard time at first. I think it might have worked better with a less-ripe avocado and maybe some more practice. The slicer was a bit narrower than my avocado, so it took a second swipe to get the meat out.
The masher also worked better on avocado alone than after adding other ingredients. I will say, you are probably less likely to cut yourself with the avocado pro than with a kitchen knife.
