One of my favorite places to go for spring break or summer vacation is the beach! We live in Texas, so my family usually goes to Port Aransas or South Padre Island. There’s swimming in the ocean, building sandcastles, and watching for tiny crabs after dark.
My favorite thing to do on the beach, though, is collect seashells. There are so many interesting shapes and sizes and colors!
When I decided to draw a beach coloring page, I knew it needed to include shells. These are the ones you’re most likely to see along the Texas coast (and plenty of other places too). The rest of the scene is just sand and water.

If you’re curious about the types of seashells/creatures pictured:
- tigersnail
- sand dollar
- cockle
- bay scallop
- auger
- dwarf tellin
- starfish
This coloring page is part of a series I’m creating for summer. At the end of the month I’ll add a link here so you can find them all.
