Moving day – or rather weekend – is here. Friday is a local holiday, “Stock Show Day” but instead of heading to the Will Rogers Center to ooh and aww over cute little piggies and bunnies, we are using the time to get moving.
Friday, we are moving as many of the boxes as possible.
Saturday, we’ve got muscles and a larger van to get the furniture over.
From there it will just be a puzzle of unpacking and figuring out where to put things. Of course, I already have a ton of projects in mind for the new house. We can’t do nearly as much there as we have done here, but that just means I have to be more creative.
I’ll be super busy this weekend, but back to blog land on Monday (AT&T willing). In the meanwhile, check out what I will call the “before” photos.
The front room is huge. Good thing because it will be our tv room,
office, dining room and sewing room. It also has tons of windows. (You
can’t see the wall behind me – its almost solid window.)
The kitchen. No, there’s not a dishwasher. Yes, that is a gas oven/stove.
The kitchen has a little extra room. That’s where our deep freezer and the china hutch currently in the dining room will fit.
There is a walk-in pantry. I think that speaks for itself!
The bathroom is small, but larger than our last one. Its also pink and
brown, which is technically an improvement on the Barney purple of the
last one (though we were able to paint it white.)
The master bedroom. It has two large closets.
The kids will be sharing this room. It is small (10×10). After each having their own 12×12 room, we will be very creative.
