There’s something that’s lovely about getting a handwritten note. Whether it comes by mail or by hand, I always feel a little special. The printable watercolor note cards are perfect for any occasion.
I’m really into watercolors right now. Not the actual painting part, but the design look. I’ve been collecting watercolor graphics left and right and looking for ways to create things with them.
My 2016 printable planner is filled with watercolor designs. I think they’re a pretty and not-too-feminine way to decorate. Plus, they add a pop of color that isn’t too spendy when it comes to home computer printer ink.
Handwritten notes
Every now and then, when I’m cleaning out a box of old “stuff” I find a handwritten note from my mom. When my brothers and sister and I went to summer camp as kids, she wrote us notes every day. Even now, when I find one, I recognize her handwriting.
Now, it’s so easy to just tap out a text to someone or use a store-bought birthday card. That’s why I usually do.
I sometimes wonder whether my own kids would recognize my {terrible} handwriting if they saw it out of context. I try to write them notes sometimes, mostly to teach them how to write and to practice handwriting.
Printable watercolor note cards
I used the same graphics from my planner on these printable watercolor note cards. They are bright shades of pink, purple, and blue. The “Hello” card is almost the same shades as this year’s Pantone colors of the year: rose quartz and serenity.
Each of these note cards has a little text on the front. One says “happy birthday” but the others are good for just about any occasion. They’re blank inside, so you can add whatever message you want to say.

I recommend printing on card stock. These are sized for regular 8-1/2 by 11-inch paper.
After you print, just fold each card in half and in half again. The watercolor picture should be on the front.
Send a pretty birthday card or thank you note. Write a letter to someone “just because.” Send a note to someone in the mail or sneak one into your child’s backpack or your spouse’s lunch. Print a few copies and encourage your kids to write letters to each other.
I promise that even if your note is silly, it will also be sweet.
These are really pretty and those colors just pop! A very personalized way to give a note in this world full of tech.
Thanks!
so pretty! I love the watercolor look and the sweet messages on the front. Now to fill up the inside! Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you!
