Send your little witches and wizards off to school with a fun surprise in their lunchboxes. These printable Harry Potter lunchbox notes are inspired by the book series and will appeal to big kids and middle school students.
I decided I needed to make another set of lunchbox notes, so I asked my 10-year-old what he thought I should make.
That’s a good question.
Harry Potter is arguably our biggest fandom in my family. We don’t just love the stories, we live the stories. Rarely do we go more than a day without some kind of Hogwarts-type reference in regular conversation.
If someone is being clever or exceptionally helpful, I dole out house points like I’m Dumbledore himself.
Naturally, I had to solve our lack of Harry Potter lunchbox notes.

The lunchbox notes say things that a wizarding world parent might say to their child and a few quotes. The cute graphics and colorful backgrounds really pop. Plus, there’s one note that’s got blank space to write your own owl post message.
Don’t worry, there aren’t any howlers in here.
There are eight notes on a single 8-1/2″x11″ page. As always, I recommend printing them on cardstock for durability. They’re more colorful than many of the printables that I make, but I think that’s what makes them so fun. I set my printer quality to ‘high’ for these. Even if you don’t, they should be fine, though.
I’m adding these Harry Potter lunchbox notes to our geeky rotation. I don’t pack a note every day, but I like to sneak one in as a surprise every now and then.
After you grab your printable, be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
