Calling all Harry Potter fans! Is Dad a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin? Let him know he’s the best dad in his house with this fun and easy Hogwarts Father’s Day printable and gift idea.

Geek dads everywhere are going to love this Harry Potter inspired gift idea. This craft is easy to put together with only a few supplies.

I used M&Ms, but any kind of candy will look great. A regular M&Ms package has almost all the colors you would need. Mine ended up being pretty low on green and of course, no white, so I used Skittles American Mix yumberry for the Slytherin.

Specialty candy stores that sell by weight usually have the M&Ms in lots of other colors, so you could get more precise with the colors.

Or go with something different altogether. A few ideas from Amazon:

Gryffindor – cherry and lemon Starbursts

Hufflepuff – Lemonheads and licorice bites

Ravenclaw – blueberry jelly beans and caramel Kisses

Slytherin – green apple fruit sours and classic Hershey Kisses

Supplies

  • canning jar with lid and ring (Mine is 8 ounces)
  • candy of your choice
  • Hogwarts printables (Click HERE to download all 4 houses.)

Instructions

Print off the house that you’re going to use. I put each house on a different page. These fit regular 8-1/2″x11″ paper and I recommend cardstock.

Cut out the card and the lid insert.

Fill the jar with candy. I alternated the colors so that the jar looked like the striped scarves.

Slide the lid insert between the lid and the ring and tighten it onto the canning jar.

Don’t forget to sign the card!

I love how this turned out and my husband, who is a Ravenclaw, was also thrilled. This is an easy way to give a unique gift without spending much. To get the kids involved, you could let them pick out which candy to use and fill the jar.

Thanks! We have a pretty diverse family and sometimes it’s hard to find all four houses.
