I have reviewed a lot of different products here at One Mama’s Daily Drama. Sometimes my kids are a little… hesitant to help out. This seems to be most common when I am reviewing a new vegetable product or ask them the hard questions, like “what do you think?” (“It’s good.”)
When a big box of complimentary samples arrived in the mail from G. H. Cretors and I opened it to reveal five bags of flavored popcorn, they were immediately ready to help me out. I make them work so hard sometimes.
About G. H. Cretors
G. H. Cretors is a family-owned business with a history in popcorn dating back to 1885 when Charles Cretors invented the popcorn machine. He designed a steam-powered machine and then the first horse-drawn popcorn wagon. Over 100 years later, mother-daughter team Phyllis and Claire continue a family tradition.
They use all natural ingredients – no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives – in all of their products. Everything is also kosher, GMO-free and gluten-free, though one flavor does contain nuts.
(Note: most popcorn is gluten-free, but if you are allergic, you should always check out the added flavors.)
G. H. Cretors popped corn comes in five flavors:
- Just the Cheese Corn
- Just the Caramel Corn
- Kettle Corn
- Chicago Mix
- Caramel Nut Crunch
G. H. Cretors popped corn review
To put it simply, we loved G. H. Cretors popped corn.
We tried all five flavors and Just the Cheese and Just the Caramel were the favorites. They reminded me of the treats we used to get at carnivals when I was a kid. The sticky sweet caramel and the salty savory cheese make the perfect snack whether you’re craving one or the other or both.
I’m always looking for snacks that are not only easy and delicious but also fairly healthy. These are low in fat, sodium and sugar. I will be packing these in lunchboxes, serving them as an after-school snack and bringing some out for movie night.
My kids were even able to come up with fancier words, like “delicious” and “my favorite.”
