One Mama’s Daily Drama is all about creating a happy home through beautiful DIY projects and home decor, practical planning and organizing, and mindful living.
Hello! I’m Keri, the owner of One Mama’s Daily Drama. I love color and creativity and couldn’t go a day without my planner.
OMDD started as a hobby blog but slowly became a place where I could encourage others who are craving an organized, happy, and realistic home life.
Here at OMDD I want to help you find pretty and practical ways to make your home your haven. You’ll find:
- DIY and craft projects
- Home decor inspiration
- Easy family recipes
- Holiday and entertaining ideas
- Organizing tips
- LOTS of printable
- And ways that you can be intentional about making the most of your days so you can feel your best.
A little more about me: I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for over 15 years and we have two kids. We currently live in Texas but have daydreamed of adventures all over the world.
I’ve been a blogger and a freelance writer for ten years and a mom for even longer. I’ve learned a lot along the way – mostly through trial and error and more error. I want to share what I’ve learned so that I can help others live their best life.
I send out a monthly email newsletter with the newest blog posts, updates, and a bundle of exclusive printables. Read more about the Digital Subscription Box.
You can hit ‘reply’ on any email I send or contact me any time at Keri @ OneMamasDailyDrama.com.
Why One Mama’s Daily Drama
Although I started One Mama’s Daily Drama as a hobby blog ten years ago, I had no idea (though I hoped) it would become a resource for busy women who needed ideas and encouragement.
In 2009, I was not in a great place. My husband and I had both recently completed our second degrees and had a mortgage-worth of student loan debt. I had also been laid off from two jobs and was struggling with anxiety and depression. Living on just my husband’s part-time income, we were really scraping pennies together to take care of ourselves and our two kids.
I was just one mama and I had a daily handful of drama to juggle. (I was and still am a word nerd who loves rhymes and alliteration!) I began reading blogs about grocery deals, budget home decorating and parenting. Each was inspiring and I knew I had to share that kind of information with whoever needed to hear it.
Slowly – with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears – our lives changed… as they do over a decade.
There were a lot of people who told me I couldn’t do whatever it was that I had in mind; that young marriages don’t last, that people don’t really get to work at their dream jobs, and that not everyone gets to have an organized, happy, debt-free home.
I’m here to tell you that you can do anything you want. Not “if you put your mind to it,” but rather if you put your time and energy into it one step at a time. Small changes and choices add up to something big in the long run.
You just have to remember why you’re doing it. For your home. For your family. For yourself.
