My kitchen is not the most organized place. I love collecting recipes and cooking from scratch and trying new things. When it comes to keeping it all tidy, I need some work. I created these printable kitchen labels to make a step in the right direction. If your kitchen could use a little organizing magic, get this free printable.

Printable kitchen labels

My kitchen is mostly red with a little yellow too. I like bright and bold colors, which you can see came through in these kitchen labels. I think I read somewhere that bright colors make you hungry. Hmm.

These labels are perfect for the pantry, refrigerator, or any place else that you need to label food.

Each label has space to write in the contents and the date. There are two pages and each one fits 14 labels.

I can count all too many times that I’ve pulled out a mystery package from the freezer or wondered exactly how long something has been hanging around the pantry.

Each label measures 1-1/3″x4″. I recommend picking up a package of Avery labels that are peel and stick. {These fit #5162 or similar.} I think there are some that will come off without leaving a sticky residue, but it’s a good idea to test one before sticking a whole bunch of containers.

Scrubbing sticker goo off of a glass jar is a kitchen nightmare.

Organizing my recipes

Another part of my kitchen that’s not very organized is my recipe binder. It is stuffed with years of recipes printed from blogs, clipped from magazines, or handwritten on sticky notes. Some of them have never been made. Some of them have evidence of being made a lot.

It was way overdue for some reorganizing, so I made a printable recipe binder that matches the kitchen labels.

It includes two different cover pages, seven category pages, and seven matching recipe pages.

It’s going to take me a while to get everything sorted. Pretty much every recipe on this blog is handwritten on a sticky note and needs to be copied onto a recipe page. The recipe pages and categories are in matching colors. Once I have it all updated, it will be easy to flip through and see where everything is.

This would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift. You can purchase the newly updated bright & colorful recipe binder in The Printables Shop.
