If you are looking for after school snack ideas, you’ve come to the right place. I have 50 after school snacks for kids that are mostly healthy. Some take a little prep, but most are the grab-and-go type. See what’s on my list and print a pretty copy to keep on the refrigerator.

50 after school snacks printable list

With school starting up again, I’m making a list of healthy after school snacks that I can serve my kids when they come home each day. When I searched the Internet – okay, Pinterest – for after school snack inspiration, I was surprised to see how many lists included marshmallows, chocolate chips, and even sprinkles. To me after school snacks should be something relatively healthy. It should give my kids the energy they need to do homework and chores without collapsing in tears before supper is ready. We’ve had plenty of days that ended with tears and an early bedtime. Most of them happened after a “reward” during the last few minutes of school that included cookies, fruit punch, or candy.

These 50 snacks are healthy, or can be made so. They are also easy to make because time is short. I have included a few suggestions that require some prep. I usually make a double batch when I’m cooking or whip some up on the weekend ahead of time.
